No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Rivas (12-6) beat at home 10th ranked Getafe (8-10) 74-57 on Saturday. They outrebounded Getafe 43-26 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard David Avila (182-1995) nailed 9 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and forward Alberto Torres (201-1998, college: Iowa Wesleyan) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. Argentinian swingman Joaquin Sanchez (188-1998) came up with 20 points and forward Sergio Rodriguez (194-1984) added 13 points respectively for Getafe in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rivas have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Getafe lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Majadahonda and Joventut 2. Rivas will meet league's leader Real Madrid 2 on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
