The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Charnay (14-3) on the court of ninth ranked Aulnoye on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Aulnoye 66-49. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Charnay. Mali power forward Meiya Tirera (188-1986) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Mariama Daramy (180-2002) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Mali center Kankou Coulibaly (187-1990, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican point guard Jennifer O'Neill (165-1990, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Charnay. Charnay's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Aulnoye (8-9) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with SIG. Charnay at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Aulnoye is looking forward to face higher ranked Monaco (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Charnay will play against SIG (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
