LF Endesa top team - Valencia (20-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Tenerife (2-22) 92-63. Valencia dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tenerife's 28. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Tenerife's players. Valencia brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a great evening for the former international guard Leticia Romero (173-1995, college: FSU) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. German center Marie Guelich (194-1994, college: Oregon St.) helped adding 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Valencia players scored in double figures. American guard Aisha Sheppard (175-1998, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Green Sports Management) responded with 19 points and the other American import center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia have an impressive series of five victories in a row.
