Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Zentro Basket (11-8) defeated 13th ranked Estudio (4-13) in Madrid 89-73 on Saturday. Zentro Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Estudio's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zentro Basket made 9 blocks. Mexican forward Victor Valdes (196-2004) nailed 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and Senegalese center Pape Bocar Sall (211-2001) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Simion Mancebo (200-1994) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Pablo Plasencia (184-2004) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for Estudio in the defeat. Five Zentro Basket and four Estudio players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zentro Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Eurogaza. Loser Estudio keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost.
