Regular Season Round 23: Pabianice - AZS UW 63-50

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Pabianice (17-4) defeated at home 7th ranked AZS UW (10-11) 63-50 on Saturday. Pabianice looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Magdalena Grzelak (185-1991) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Aleksandra Janiak (172-1991) accounted for 13 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Forward Weronika Karpiszuk (175-1998) came up with 18 points and Zuzanna Wrzesien (172-1996) added 3 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for AZS UW in the defeat. AZS UW's coach Malgorzata Zaron rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pabianice have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-4 record having five points less than leader Sokolow P. Loser AZS UW keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Pabianice will meet Wolomin (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS UW will play against Plock and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
