Regular Season Round 18: Ragusa - Pula 96-57

Leader Ragusa delivered the sixteenth victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Pula (6-12) 96-57 in Dubrovnik. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Pula's 18. Ragusa forced 33 Pula turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 38 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Pula's players. It was a good game for the former international forward Iva Todoric (174-1993) who led her team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 9 steals. The former international forward Lea Hajdin (181-1998, agency: BIG) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Ragusa's coach Cvetana Matic felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovenian guard Karin Skapin (173-1999) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and the former international Ivana Ujevic (176-2000) added 22 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Pula. Ragusa have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-2 record. Pula at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Pozega. Ragusa will play against Split (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pula will play against KAZL Split (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
