Everything went according to plan when second ranked Pistoia (18-5) won against on the road 14th ranked Chieti (7-17) 76-59 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordon Varnado (198-1997, college: Troy) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and the former international point guard Lorenzo Saccaggi (188-1992, agency: Interperformances) who added 16 points during the contest. Four Pistoia players scored in double figures. Pistoia's coach Nicola Brienza used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Michele Serpilli (201-1999) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Martino Mastellari (194-1996) scored 12 points. Pistoia maintains second position with 18-5 record having just three points less than leader Cantu, which they share with Vanoli Cremona. Loser Chieti keeps the fourteenth place with 17 games lost.
