There was no surprise when 11th ranked Enea AZS II P. (5-17) lost to ninth ranked Sleza 2 (7-14) in Ponzan 56-74 on Sunday. Sleza 2 outrebounded Enea AZS II P. 57-32 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Ukrainian Khrystyna Kulesha (185-2004) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds. Center Martyna Kurkowiak (187-2003) accounted for 10 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side. Four Sleza 2 players scored in double figures. Forward Karolina Dzochowska (181-2004) came up with 11 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Alicja Rogozinska (174-2002) added 9 points respectively for Enea AZS II P. in the defeat. Enea AZS II P.'s coach Grzegorz Zielinski rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sleza 2 maintains ninth place with 7-14 record, which they share with Wolomin. Enea AZS II P. lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Sleza 2 will meet at home Widzew (#10) in the next round. Enea AZS II P. will play against Aleksandrow L. in Aleksandrow Lodzki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
