Regular Season Round 21: Carolinas - Gandia 54-80

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Carolinas (6-14) was outleveled by first ranked Gandia (17-2) in La Carolina 80-54 on Sunday. Gandia outrebounded Carolinas 47-30 including a 38-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Alejandro Terrades (196-2001) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Alejandro Requena (189-2001) accounted for 19 points. Four Gandia players scored in double figures. Guard Santiago Gaya (188-2000) came up with 10 points and forward Nicolas Martinez (192-2001) added 10 points respectively for Carolinas in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gandia maintains first place with 17-2 record. Carolinas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Gandia will meet at home Jorge Juan (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them.
