Another exciting game was between fourth ranked BLMA and 3rd placed Villeneuve where BLMA (12-3) crushed Villeneuve (11-4) on the road with 24-point difference 81-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Villeneuve. BLMA forced 19 Villeneuve turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. BLMA players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Belgian point guard Julie Vanloo (172-1993) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 8 assists. The former international power forward Marieme Badiane (190-1994, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Five BLMA players scored in double figures. Ivorian center Kariata Diaby (192-1995) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Janelle Salaun (186-2001) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Villeneuve. BLMA have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Villeneuve at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. BLMA will play against Flammes (#6) in Charleville in the next round. Villeneuve will play on the road against the league's leader Bourges and hopes to get back on the winning track.
