Regular Season Round 22: Schio - Lucca 109-51

Serie A1 top team - Schio (22-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Lucca (4-18) 109-51. Schio dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Lucca's 22. They outrebounded Lucca 50-21 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Schio players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Lucca's players. Belgian Kim Mestdagh (180-1990, college: Colorado St.) notched 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Senegalese-Spanish center Astou Ndour (198-1994) supported her with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Five Schio players scored in double figures. Schio's coach Georgios Dikaioulakos felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by Finnish center Helmi Tulonen (191-1998, college: Duquesne, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Lucca. The former international guard Sara Bocchetti (175-1993) added 9 points for lost side. Schio have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-1 record. Lucca lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Valdarno.
