Regular Season Round 22: Neptunas - Aistes-LSMU 84-64

The most interesting game of round 22 was a derby match between two teams from Lithuania. The game took place in Klaipeda where fifth ranked Neptunas outleveled visiting Aistes-LSMU (13-7) 84-64. They outrebounded Aistes-LSMU 41-23 including a 30-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Neptunas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Aistes-LSMU's players. Point guard Dalia Donskichyte (169-2000) had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Ukrainian forward Uliana Datsko (176-1999, agency: BIG) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Neptunas players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Martyna Petrenaite (181-1998) responded with 22 points and American guard Tyra Buss (172-1996, college: Indiana) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Neptunas maintains fifth position with 11-6 record. Aistes-LSMU at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Neptunas are looking forward to face league's second-placed RSU in Riga in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aistes-LSMU will play at home against Daugavpils Universitate and is hoping to win this game.
