But Tours was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Besancon 75-73 on Friday night. Serbian swingman Nikola Knezevic (200-1999) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and Mali point guard Siriman Kanoute (181-2001) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Besancon players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Scott Suggs (197-1989, college: Washington) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-1990) scored 14 points. Besancon will meet at home Toulouse in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tours will play against Lyon and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
