Regular Season Round 23: Stade Rochelais - St. Chamond 77-55

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 13th ranked Saint Chamond (9-14) was rolled over on the road by fourteenth ranked La Rochelle (9-14) 77-55 on Friday. It was a great evening for American point guard Robert Turner III (190-1993, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. Jamaican-Canadian point guard Javon Masters (183-1994, college: UNB, agency: Blacktop Management) helped adding 16 points. La Rochelle's coach Julien Cortey felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Mathieu Boyer (208-1995) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Nigerian-American forward Josh Ajayi (201-1996, college: USA) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. La Rochelle have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with St. Chamond. La Rochelle will meet Aix-Maurienne (#17) in the next round. Saint Chamond will play against Saint Vallier (#18) and hope to secure a win.
