Regular Season Round 26: Lowicz - Pyra 94-89

Rather predictable result in Lowicz where fourth ranked Ksiezak (19-7) defeated 6th ranked Pyra (16-10) 94-89 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was point guard Jakub Stanios (180-1994) who scored 28 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Mateusz Fatz (205-1996) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Ksiezak players scored in double figures. Guard Marcin Flieger (185-1984) produced 41 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-1984) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Pyra's coach Tomasz Semmler rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ksiezak have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Tarnovia. Loser Pyra dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Gniezno. Ksiezak will meet Gniezno (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Pyra will play against SMS PZKosz in Wladyslawowo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
