Everything went according to plan in Alcantarilla where eighth ranked Cadi La Seu (12-13) beat 14th ranked Jairis (9-15) 66-50 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Julia Soler (178-2001) who scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Laia Raventos (170-1997, college: Charlotte) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Belen Arrojo (188-1995) who recorded 7 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Slovenian power forward Shante Evans (185-1991, college: Hofstra) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Jairis' coach Lucas Fernandez rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cadi La Seu have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Estudiantes. Newly promoted Jairis keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Cadi La Seu will meet at home Barca CBS (#9) in the next round.
