Very predictable result when fifth ranked Le Mans (13-9) outscored at home 10th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (10-13) 108-86 on Saturday. Le Mans made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game. Le Mans outrebounded Gravelines-Dunkerque 41-17 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Le Mans looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Cameron McGriff (201-1997, college: OK State) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Matt Morgan (188-1997, college: Cornell) helped adding 24 points. Point guard Justin Robinson (170-1995, college: Monmouth) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 assists and point guard Kenny Boynton (188-1991, college: Florida) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Five Le Mans and four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Le Mans went down to sixth position due to points difference. Loser Gravelines-Dunkerque dropped to the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Le Mans will meet at home Limoges CSP Elite (#10) in the next round. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Cholet Basket and hope to secure a win.
