There was an upset when higher ranked Valsequillo (10-10) was outplayed on the road by twelfth ranked Chlorella (7-11) 88-51 on Saturday. Chlorella forced 26 Valsequillo turnovers and outrebounded them 48-29 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chlorella made 7 blocks. Alvaro Herguedas (190) fired 27 points and 5 assists for the winners. DR Congolese center Ken Baoko (202-2003) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Chlorella's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Forward Gabriel Bolanos (195-1992) produced 14 points and forward Paulo Rodriguez (201-2000) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Chlorella moved-up to tenth place.
