Not a big story in a game in Lugo where 10th ranked Ensino (10-15) was defeated by third ranked Girona (19-5) 72-58 on Saturday. Girona made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-1990, college: UCLA) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Australian center Marianna Tolo (196-1989) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was guard Alba Prieto (180-1999, college: S.Florida) who recorded 12 points and 7 rebounds and American Margaret Roundtree (183-1988, college: Gardner-Webb) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Ensino's coach Antonio Pernas rotated twelve players saving starting five for next games. Girona maintains third position with 19-5 record having five points less than leader Valencia. Loser Ensino dropped to the eleventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Gran Canaria and IDK Eustotren.
