Premijer Liga top team - Ragusa (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Split (3-15) 87-43. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Split's 26. Ragusa forced 26 Split turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Split's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Lea Hajdin (181-1998, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 28 points. The former international forward Iva Todoric (174-1993) contributed with 8 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Forward Ivana Brnas (180-1997) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Tea Turic (178-1998) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Split. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ragusa have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-2 record. Split lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Ragusa are looking forward to face Zagreb (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Split's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Split to the arena KAZL Split.
