Very important is a road loss of third ranked Asker (15-7) against fourth ranked Ullern (10-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Asker was defeated by Ullern in a tough game in Oslo 76-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Asker. Ullern forced 21 Asker turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Tori Halvorsen (183-1988, college: American) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Laura Basora helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard Tayler Bennett (172-1998, college: Academy of Art) responded with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Siri Granheim (178-1994) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ullern maintains fourth place with 10-11 record. Asker at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Ullern will play against bottom-ranked Storm U. (#7) in Tromso in the next round. Asker will play at home against Storm U. (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
