There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Zentro Basket (12-8) defeated on the road 3rd ranked Daimiel (13-7) 80-74 on Sunday. Mexican forward Victor Valdes (196-2004) fired 15 points for the winners. Swingman Hector Figueroa (194-2001) chipped in 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Argentinian Tiziano Borioni (182-1994) produced 19 points and Cuban guard Raudelis Guerra (191-1993) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Daimiel players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zentro Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Valls and Eurogaza. Newly promoted Daimiel keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
