Regular Season Round 24: Bologna - Campobasso 75-66

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bologna as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bologna defeated 6th ranked Campobasso at home 75-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Campobasso. Bologna shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was a good game for American forward Cheyenne Parker (193-1992, college: MTSU) who led her team to a victory with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Latvian forward Kitija Laksa (182-1996, college: S.Florida) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Bologna players scored in double figures. American swingman Robyn Parks (185-1992, college: VCU) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Stefania Trimboli (176-1996) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Campobasso. Bologna (22-2) have an impressive 14-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Schio. Campobasso at the other side keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when Campobasso faces Moncalieri trying to get back on the winning streak. Bologna will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Sassari on the road.
