Everything went according to plan when second ranked Virtus BO (17-4) defeated on the road 9th ranked Venezia (9-12) 83-68 on Sunday. The former international point guard Nicolo Mannion (190-2001, college: Arizona) nailed 27 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side and French center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (211-1994) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Virtus BO players scored in double figures. American center Mitchell Watt (208-1989, college: Buffalo, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Jordan Parks (201-1994, college: NCCU, agency: Inception Sports) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Venezia in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Virtus BO. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Milano. Loser Venezia keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Trieste and Treviso.
