We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Brest (11-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Grodno GrSU (11-11) 97-84 on Sunday. Grodno GrSU shot 22 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Brest only scored six points from the stripe. Grodno GrSU forced 24 Brest turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Alexander Chivel (162-2006) who scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Ilya Sirotsky (-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Grodno GrSU's coach Rustan Nosenko allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Nikita Myts (188-2002) produced 24 points and 4 assists and center Gleb Bigun (204-2004) added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the hosts. Four Brest players scored in double figures. Grodno GrSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Brest. Brest lost fifth consecutive game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
