Regular Season Round 24: Sleza 2 - Widzew 52-64

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Wroclaw where tenth ranked Widzew (7-15) won against 9th ranked Sleza 2 (7-15) 64-52 on Monday. The best player for the winners was guard Anna Kudelska (169-1998) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Natalia Gzinka (178-1998) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Martyna Kurkowiak (187-2003) who recorded 8 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Ukrainian Khrystyna Kulesha (185-2004) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Widzew moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Sleza 2. Widzew will meet higher ranked Katy Wrocl. (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sleza 2 will play against Aleksandrow L. in Aleksandrow Lodzki and hope to secure a win.
