Second Stage Round 2: Caen - Vitre 71-49

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Vitre on the court of Caen on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Caen 71-49. Caen outrebounded Vitre 43-25 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Tyere Marshall (206-1997, college: Rider, agency: SLN) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Parfait NJiba (199-1989) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Point guard Louis Prolhac (177-1991) replied with 6 points and 6 assists and forward Calvin Jubenot (198-1986) added 8 points in the effort for Vitre. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Caen is looking forward to face C'Chartres on the road in the next round. Vitre will play against STB Le Havre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
