Regular Season Round 12: Basco - Gori 97-86

There was no surprise in Batumi where bottom-ranked Gori (0-9) was defeated by fourth ranked Basco (6-3) 97-86 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Basco. Gori managed to win second period 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Saba Saladze (196-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and Lado Sharadze (-2005) who added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Basco players scored in double figures. Basco's coach Ivane Maisuradze used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Sandro Zaridze (193-2005) with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals and center Demetre Chochishvili (200-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Basco have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Gori still closes the standings with nine games lost. Basco will meet at home Brooklyn (#5) in the next round. Gori will play against the league's leader Wings and hopes to get finally their first victory.
