Very predictable result when sixth ranked Lithuanian Neptunas (12-7) outscored on the road 11th ranked Latvian Riga/Juniores (2-19) 89-65 on Thursday. Neptunas made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game, while Riga/Juniores only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Riga/Juniores 42-23 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Neptunas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Ukrainian swingman Viktoria Balaban (176-1997, agency: BIG) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points and 8 rebounds. Lithuanian point guard Agne Cerneckyte (173-1996) helped adding 21 points and 5 assists. Katrina Kalnina (182-2004) responded with 17 points and forward Sarlote Petersone (173-2003) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neptunas moved-up to fifth place. Riga/Juniores lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 19 games lost.
