Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Valencia 2 (12-11) was defeated at home by third ranked Sueca (16-7) 75-64 on Thursday. Sueca forced 19 Valencia 2 turnovers. It was a great evening for Italian forward Roberto Malpede (198-1988) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Sergio Cecilia (198-2000) helped adding 19 points and 5 rebounds. Center David Barbera (206-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Carlos Campillos (185-2004) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Valencia 2's coach Xavi Albert rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sueca maintains third place with 16-7 record having just two points less than leader Huelva CD, which they share with Esportiu. Loser Valencia 2 keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Castello 2. Sueca will meet at home Castello 2 (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
