Very significant was Orbi's (#1, 9-1) victory against their biggest opponent Gtuni (7-3) 83-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Gtuni. Gtuni trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-83 at the end of the game. Orbi looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American point guard Kenny Cooper (183, college: Tennessee St.) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Marcale Lotts (201-1994, college: Canisius, agency: MSG) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Lotts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Orbi's coach Irakli Tomaradze used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Levan Revazashvili (210-1992) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Anthony Alston (183-1994, college: TAMIU) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Gtuni players scored in double figures. Orbi (9-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Newly promoted Gtuni keeps the second place with three games lost.
