No shocking result in a game when second ranked Grodno (20-6) crushed at home 6th ranked Gomel (1-25) 101-74 on Saturday. Grodno made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Gomel only scored seven points from the stripe. Grodno forced 26 Gomel turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The winners were led by Serbian guard Dusan Majstorovic (196-1995, college: Maine) who scored that evening 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Ilya Sharipov (198-1991) supported him with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 10 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists by center Viktor Golotsukov (205-1999) did not help to save the game for Gomel.
