Regular Season Round 23: Vic - Castelldefels 83-78

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Castelldefels (11-11) was defeated on the road by second ranked Vic (19-3) 83-78 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for center Antoni Rodriguez (200-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 7 rebounds. Forward David Vidal (194-1997) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Eric Manes (194-1987) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Marc Manes (196-1986) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Vic keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Lliria and Mataro UE. Loser Castelldefels dropped to the sixth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Vic will meet Joventut 2 (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Castelldefels will play against Agora Portals and hope to secure a win.
