We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fourth ranked El Pinar (13-6) won against on the road 3rd placed La Zubia (13-7) 72-59 on Saturday. It was a great evening for naturalized Brazilian guard Carlinhos Cobos (193-1988) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Pablo Ibanez (198-1993) helped adding 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Devin Wright (200-1986) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and point guard David Garcia Gazquez (180-1993) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. El Pinar moved-up to third place. Loser La Zubia dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Rivas. El Pinar will meet at home Jaen (#5) in the next round. La Zubia will play against Novaschool in Malaga and hope to secure a win.
