Regular Season Round 27: Katy Wroc. - SKM ZG 104-101

Eighth-ranked SKM ZG (12-14) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Katy Wroc. (18-9) in Katy Wroclawskie. Katy Wroc. managed to secure only three-point victory 104-101. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SKM ZG. Katy Wroc. shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a great evening for Aleks Zmijak (201-2001) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Grzegorz Kaczmarek (193-1983) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Jakub Kunc (192-2003) with 18 points and guard Rafal Szpakowski (184-2005) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKM ZG's coach Dawid Mazur tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Katy Wroc. maintains fifth place with 18-9 record, which they share with Cracovia. SKM ZG at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. Katy Wroc. will play against Slask 3 (#7) in Wroclaw in the next round. SKM ZG will play at home against Zary and hopes to get back on the winning track.
