Regular Season Round 24: Saint Quentin - Chalons-Reims 83-86

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Saint-Quentin (18-6) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Chalons-Reims (15-9) 86-83. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Saint-Quentin. It was a good game for American point guard Marquis Jackson (183-1994, college: Ohio Christian) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Cameroonian guard Samir Gbetkom Bikantchou (191-1998) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Center Mathis Dossou-Yovo (205-2000) replied with 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Lucas Boucaud (188-2000) added 17 points in the effort for Saint-Quentin. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Chalons-Reims maintains fifth position with 15-9 record. Saint-Quentin at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. Chalons-Reims are looking forward to face league's second-placed Chalon/Saor on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saint-Quentin will play against Quimper UJAP and is hoping to win this game.
