Not a big story in a game in Madrid where 8th ranked Getafe (9-11) was outplayed by sixth ranked Zentro Basket (13-8) 93-68 on Saturday. Zentro Basket forced 22 Getafe turnovers and outrebounded them 46-29 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Senegalese center Pape Bocar Sall (211-2001) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Mexican forward Victor Valdes (196-2004) helped adding 18 points and 11 assists. Four Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Adrian Vasquez responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Argentinian swingman Joaquin Sanchez (188-1998) scored 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zentro Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Alcala and Girona B. Newly promoted Getafe keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Zentro Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Real Madrid 2.
