Regular Season Round 24: Zirve - Sabah 65-87

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Baku: Sabah (#1) and Zirve (#7). Zirve was smashed at home by 22 points 65-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Sabah dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Zirve's 38. They outrebounded Zirve 49-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward AJ Patty (204-1995, college: MSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds and point guard Kamran Mammadov (187-2000) who added 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Zo Tyson (206-1995, college: IUPUI) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Russhard Cruickshank (183, college: EKU) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Zirve players scored in double figures. Sabah have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-6 record, which they share with NTD. Zirve lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 18 games lost.
