Regular Season Round 23: Boadilla - Pinto Basket 86-65

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Boadilla del Monte where 13th ranked Pinto Basket (5-16) was crushed by fourteenth ranked Boadilla (2-19) 86-65 on Saturday. Boadilla looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Ricardo Kamara who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Jorge Penacho (184-1991) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. Pablo Lopez (195-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Marcos Taeno scored 11 points and 6 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Boadilla maintains fourteenth place with 2-19 record, which they share with SBA. Pinto Basket lost sixth consecutive game. Pinto Basket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with La Solana. Boadilla will meet higher ranked BT Madrid (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pinto Basket will play against Guimar and hope to secure a win.
