The game in Reykjavík was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Armann (12-12) played at the court of 7th ranked Athena (7-17). Armann managed to secure a 9-point victory 54-45 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Athena won third quarter 10-6. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Armann won last quarter 12-5. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Athena to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They held Athena to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 26.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Armann forced 24 Athena turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for guard Jonina Karlsdottir (170-1999) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Elfa Falsdottir (165-1998) accounted for 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Croatian-American guard Nerea Brajac (173-1999, college: Georgian Court) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals and forward Asa Wolfram (176-2005) added 12 points respectively for Athena in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Armann. They maintain sixth place with 12-12 record. Athena lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 17 games lost.
