Regular Season Round 31: Dziki Wwa - Kolobrzeg 67-66

Sixth-ranked Kotwica (18-12) was very close to win a game against second ranked Dziki (23-8) in Warszawa on Saturday. Dziki managed to secure only one-point victory 67-66. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kotwica. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Mateusz Bartosz (205-1987) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds. Michal Aleksandrowicz (192-1989) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Dziki's coach Krzysztof Szablowski used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Piotr Smigielski (191-1989) answered with 14 points and 4 assists and naturalized American point guard James Washington (182-1987, college: MTSU) added 15 points in the effort for Kotwica. Dziki have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 23-8 record having just two points less than leader Walbrzych. Kotwica at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Dziki are looking forward to face Zak (#9) in Koszalin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kotwica will play at home against HydroTruck and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
