Fifth-ranked Binnenland (9-13) gave a tough game to second ranked Grasshoppers (19-4) in Barendecht. The visitors from Katwijk managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected easier game. The winners were led by Lotte Van Kruistum (183-2003) who scored that evening 18 points and 8 rebounds and Jacobine Klerkx supported her with 18 points. Grasshoppers' coach used entire bench in such tough game. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by the former international swingman Jamailah Adams (180-1993) did not help to save the game for Binnenland. The former international guard Marlou De Kleijn (183-1992) added 14 points for the hosts. Four Binnenland players scored in double figures. Grasshoppers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-4 record having just two point less than leader Den Helder. Binnenland lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Grasshoppers will play against league's leader Den Helder on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Binnenland will play against Triple Threat (#3) in Haarlem and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
