Regular Season Round 19: SIG - Montbrison 67-52

There was a minor upset in llkirch-Graff. where 7th ranked Montbrison (9-10) was defeated by ninth ranked SIG (9-10) 67-52 on Saturday. SIG forced 34 Montbrison turnovers. It was a great evening for American power forward Victoria Harris (191-1996, college: Rutgers) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Spanish point guard Binta Drame-Lo (171-2002) helped adding 11 points and 7 assists. At the losing side American swingman Nukiya Mayo (190-1998, college: Towson) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jade Gaillard (175-2002) scored 10 points. SIG moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Montbrison. SIG will meet higher ranked Feytiat (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Montbrison will play against the league's leader Charnay (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
