Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked LKS Lodz 2 (4-23) lost to fifth ranked AZS UMK (19-8) in Torun 79-85 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. AZS UMK made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 LKS Lodz 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Arkadiusz Kobus (196-1986) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Pawel Sowinski (190-2005) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Five AZS UMK players scored in double figures. AZS UMK's coach Kamil Michalski used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Kacper Koc (187-2004) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Maksymilian Gajek (185-2004) added 16 points respectively for LKS Lodz 2 in the defeat. AZS UMK maintains fifth place with 19-8 record, which they share with Rybnik. LKS Lodz 2 lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 23 games lost. AZS UMK will meet TKM Wloclawek (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. LKS Lodz 2 will play against AMW Gdynia and hope to secure a win.
