Regular Season Round 23: Coruna - Almeria 58-79

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Almeria (16-6) smashed on the road 11th ranked Coruna (7-14) 79-58 on Sunday. Almeria made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game, while Coruna only scored three points from the stripe. It was a great evening for DR Congolese center Mariana Muadi (187-1996) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Argentinian point guard Macarena Durso (169-1991) helped adding 16 points. Point guard Maria Gonzalez (175-1998) responded with 15 points and forward Andrea Perez (178-1993) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Almeria maintains third place with 16-6 record having just two points less than leader CD Talent. Coruna at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Sevilla. Almeria will meet at home Logrono (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Coruna will play against Genero in Las Palmas and hope to secure a win.
