Rather expected game when 11th ranked Faenza (6-19) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Crema (11-14) 62-57 on Sunday. Crema forced 19 Faenza turnovers. Strangely Faenza outrebounded Crema 46-27 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guinean forward Masseny Kaba (191-1998, college: UCF) fired 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Raelin DAlie (159-1987, college: Wisconsin, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 4 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Nigerian forward Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah (188-1997, college: Northwestern) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 24 rebounds and point guard Rosa Cupido (167-1992) added 13 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Crema. Newly promoted Crema maintains eighth place with 11-14 record. Faenza lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Crema will meet at home Valdarno (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Faenza will play against Lucca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
