There was no surprise when 15th ranked AZS PC (2-25) was outleveled by tenth ranked Korona (11-16) in Krakow 88-46 on Sunday. Korona forced 26 AZS PC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by AZS PC's players. It was an exceptional evening for center Mohamed Abdelaal (207-1999, agency: Domantay Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Mateusz Orlowski (187-2006) accounted for 18 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Four Korona players scored in double figures. Guard Piotr Mlynarczyk (170-2004) came up with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Dawid Szulc (201-1999) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for AZS PC in the defeat. AZS PC's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Korona maintains tenth place with 11-16 record, which they share with 4 other teams. AZS PC lost their seventeenth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 25 games lost. They share it with Wisla Krakow and Gimbasket. Korona will meet higher ranked Resovia (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AZS PC will play against Tarn.Gory (#9) and hope to secure a win.
