Regular Season Round 28: Legionowo - Legia 2 84-76

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Legia 2 (6-20) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Legionowo (14-13) 84-76 on Wednesday. Legionowo made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Przemyslaw Lewandowski (201-1978) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Przemyslaw Sloniewski (193-1994) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Legionowo players scored in double figures. Guard Eryk Gasinski (181-2004) produced 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals and power forward Aleksander Kornacki (205-2006) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Legionowo have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 14-13 record. Loser Legia 2 dropped to the twelfth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Ochota W-wa. Legionowo will meet higher ranked Pisz (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Legia 2's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Warszawa Isetia W-wa.
