Very important is a home loss of second ranked Iskra Svit (17-10) against fifth ranked Lucenec (14-13) on Wednesday night. Host Iskra Svit was defeated by Lucenec in a tough game in Svit 84-90. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Iskra Svit. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Tyrik Armstrong (178, college: Texas Southern, agency: MSG) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Montenegrin forward Vasilije Knezevic (202-1996) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lucenec have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Komarno. Iskra Svit at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost. They share it with Levice. Lucenec will play against league's leader Spisski Rytieri in Nova Ves in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Iskra Svit will play on the road against Inter Bratislava and hopes to get back on the winning track.
