An exciting game was played in Durres. Second ranked Teuta faced 3rd placed Tirana. Host Teuta (13-5) smashed guests from Tirana (10-8) 90-63. Teuta dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tirana's 32. Teuta forced 25 Tirana turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tirana's players. American power forward Avery Sullivan (203-1999, college: Lamar) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. American-Jamaican Marcus Patterson (193-1995, college: Sage) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Patterson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Teuta players scored in double figures. The former international center Endrit Hysenagolli (208-1988) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Jakobi Bonner (188, college: Rollins, agency: BIG) added 14 points in the effort for Tirana. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Teuta have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 13-5 record having just three points less than leader Beselidhja. Tirana at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Teuta will play against bottom-ranked Vllaznia (#6) in Shkodra in the next round. Tirana will play on the road against Apolonia in Fier and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
